The Livingston-McLean County Building Trades Council is committed to strengthening our communities by advocating for workers, supporting job growth, and promoting fair wages and safe working conditions. Through rallies, community events, and engagement with local leaders, we work to ensure that working men and women have a voice in the decisions that impact their livelihoods. We also support candidates and initiatives that prioritize strong infrastructure, workforce development, and opportunities for the next generation. Our mission goes beyond the job site—it’s about building a stronger, more sustainable future for everyone.
The Council works to create and protect good-paying, union jobs while promoting worker safety, fair wages, and strong benefits. Advocacy includes engaging with local leaders, lawmakers, and organizations, participating in public campaigns and hearings, and collaborating with other unions and community groups to ensure that workers have access to meaningful, sustainable employment opportunities.
