Apprenticeship

A career with Bricklayers Local 8 starts with strong training, real experience, and the opportunity to build a future you can be proud of. Our apprenticeship program combines hands-on learning with classroom instruction, giving apprentices the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the masonry trade. From day one, apprentices work alongside experienced union craftworkers, learning the techniques, safety standards, and craftsmanship that define our industry.

Unlike traditional education paths, apprentices earn while they learn. Participants receive competitive wages, industry-recognized training, and access to benefits while developing skills in bricklaying, stonework, restoration, and related masonry applications. The program is designed to prepare apprentices for long-term careers, equipping them with the knowledge and experience needed to become highly skilled journeypersons.

Through union training, apprentices gain more than technical ability — they become part of a brotherhood and sisterhood built on mentorship, professionalism, and pride in quality work. Bricklayers Local 8 is committed to developing the next generation of skilled craftspeople who help build and maintain the communities we live and work in.
